It extends CottonConnect’s work beyond farming practices – supporting the health, education and economic opportunity of the people and families connected to production.
By addressing these wider challenges, we help create more stable, resilient communities that can benefit from the growth and resilience of supply chains.
What the Foundation does
Established in India in 2017, the Foundation develops and delivers programmes that improve quality of life and expand access to opportunity in rural areas.
Its work focuses on practical, locally relevant interventions, supporting individuals to build skills, access education and improve health and wellbeing. This creates lasting impact at community level, while strengthening the broader ecosystems that supply chains depend on.
Who we support
The Foundation’s programmes are designed to support rural communities, with a particular focus on women, children and underserved groups. By prioritising inclusion and access, the Foundation helps ensure that the benefits of more sustainable supply chains are shared more widely across communities.
Focus areas
The Foundation concentrates its work on three key areas.
- It supports education through scholarships and initiatives that encourage school participation, with a strong focus on increasing access for girls.
- It builds pathways to employment by delivering vocational and skills-based training, helping individuals develop the capabilities needed to generate income and improve financial independence.
- It also supports child development and community wellbeing, with programmes focused on nutrition, health awareness and access to essential services.

The Foundation provides a platform for corporate partners and other organisations to support targeted, high-impact initiatives at community level that are often aligned with ESG goals and focus areas.
